Acquiring and developing top-tier lithium assets in the Appalachian region

Initial Target Area: Historic Oriskany Brine Formation

Oriskany Sandstone Brine Formation – Appalachian Basin, Eastern USA

Average anticipated Lithium values in the Appalachian Basin: 100 – 150 mg/L

Project Criteria

Several projects targeted by team based on specific criteria

  • Average target area size of 315 km2 across Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
    • Area renowned for prolific oil and gas activity
    • Proximal to the Marcellus Basin
  • Historic sampling yielded 105 to 315 mg/l, modelling of formation suggests broad target areas of 100 to 150 mg/l Li
  • Shallow target depth, with Oriskany Sandstones mapped:
    •  At 500 to 2,800m below surface
    •  Target area horizon thickness average 20m
  • Porosity documented at 5 to 17% (targeting >5%)
  • No nature/forest reserves or major urban areas. Land is generally about 60% forest, 40% fields.
  • LAND STATUS: Title search and negotiation with land owners underway
